INDUSTRIE 4.0 Conference Vilnius
Especially small and medium-sized companies underestimate the impact of the digital revolution on their business activities in the next ten years. Manufacturers and producers risk losing their competitiveness if they do not address the Internet of Things in time. Under the new term "Industrie 4.0", the interconnection of manufacturing and ICT, has already started long ago and creates not only risks, but also opportunities for Lithuania to become the newest European hub for Smart Production. Does this also work with already existing machinery parks? How to invest properly now? How does the digitalisation influence costs, funding, processes and the qualification of employees?
These questions and more will be examined at the first German-Lithuanian "Industrie 4.0" conference on May 19th 2016, organised by the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK) and the Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania LINPRA on the occasion of the trade fair Balttechnika 2016.
The event is supported by the German Embassy in Lithuania and the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy.
The conference invites representatives of the manufacturing industry and leading companies as well as representatives of educational institutions and governmental decision-makers.
